Accelerate Montana's Job Site Ready program is honored to be recognized as a DEWALT Grow the Trades Grant recipient for its efforts to provide Montanans with training to start a career in construction.

With an estimated 500,000 open construction jobs unfilled in the United States, DEWALT’s Grow the Trades Grants aim to help close the skilled labor gap by supporting nonprofit organizations that are skilling, reskilling and upskilling tradespeople. Each year, the program awards funding and tool donations as part of a larger $30 million commitment over five years to close the skilled trades gap nationally.

Job Site Ready was selected as one of 166 organizations that are providing greater accessibility and resources for trades training.

"With DEWALT's generous support, we are excited to continue working with communities across the state to expand access to training that prepares Montanans for rewarding careers in the construction trades" said Katherine Booher, Program Director of Construction Trades Workforce Development at Accelerate Montana

The DEWALT Grow the Trades Grant will provide Job Site Ready with tools used to teach learners onsite and equip participants with tools to start their careers. Job Site Ready equips participants with the essential skills required to start a career in the construction trades. Participants are given exposure to tool use and maintenance, materials handling, workplace safety, construction math, blueprint reading, basic framing, and more.

“DEWALT is immensely proud to support Job Site Ready as they work to skill and reskill the tradespeople of tomorrow moving us closer to our shared goal of closing the trade skills gap,” said Frank Mannarino, President and General Manager of DEWALT. “Funding educational programs and non-profits like Job Site Ready connects more people to training, resources and opportunities that will lead to successful careers in the trades.”
