Learning Objectives
This program is designed to provide practical instruction in basic medical terminology and anatomy, proper techniques used in collecting and processing blood specimens. Students will practice blood collection techniques with a mannequin arm in the classroom setting prior to clinical hands-on collection with each other and patients.
Expected Career/Learning Outcomes
Successful Phlebotomy students will be prepared to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam, which will enable graduates to enter a promising phlebotomy career or pursue further healthcare education.
