Accelerate Montana offers a broad range of programs to benefit businesses and individuals alike - regardless of where you live or work in Montana. In order to meet our mission of accelerating economic potential, we have assembled teams who can support, guide, and consult with you on your business or help guide you in your career.
Through the broad range of our programs, we strive to help build business capacity and support Montana's economic development. Members of our team are expert at guiding entrepreneurs through the start-up of a business: from launch phase to its early stages as a young company. And, our network of peers allows us to help regardless of where those entrepreneurs live in our state.
We have a range of programs designed to support Montana's small businesses in addition to programs that can enable businesses small or large to access new markets overseas or ensure that their company is considered for state or federal contracting. And we have team members that can connect businesses to the basic advice, tools and skills that every business needs to function.
Finally, the courses offered through our Rapid Training Program are designed to help individuals get the skills they need to build jobs or careers in Montana's fastest-growing and largest industry sectors of construction, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, film and media. These courses are designed to help build the skills that industries most say they need. Courses are offered across the state through our partners and are designed to be fast, flexible, affordable and precisely what workers and companies need.
Accelerate Montana's Rural Innovation Initiative (A.M.R.I.I.) provides entrepreneurial coaching, innovation, and venture creation support for rural and indigenous owned start-ups across Montana. We help develop, support, and deliver programming that has been proven successful in high-growth situations. AMRII envisions a Montana in which rural innovators have the support, training, and access to networks and resources needed to flourish in global market.
The Blackstone LaunchPad at the University of Montana (BLP) helps students, alumni, faculty, and staff of the University of Montana explore entrepreneurship. We are an international organization that provides coaching and connections to startup resources. We offer venture coaching, hold events and competitions, and run programs such as the annual John Ruffatto Business Startup Challenge and Pursue Your Passion women’s entrepreneurship program.
CyberMontana provides technical and non-technical cybersecurity education to learners of all ages. Explore certificate and degree programs, or build on your current skill set through professional development. We are the state hub for Cyber workforce education. Businesses of all sizes will benefit from our security awareness and focused cyber vigilance training.
The Job Site Ready ("JSR") micro-credential is a job-preparedness program designed to equip learners with work experience and essential skills to start entry-level jobs in construction trades. Successful students will walk away with exposure to tool use and maintenance, materials handling, workplace safety, industrial practice, and project management. This program combines online self-paced training with hands-on experience gained through onsite training throughout the year in locations across Montana.
The Montana Code School offers a part-time coding Bootcamp that equips students with little or no coding experience for entry-level “code-savvy” jobs. Learn high-demand skills that will make you competitive in a rapidly expanding industry. The majority of grads are now in high-paying, code tech-related jobs in Montana.
The Native Women's Launch provides relevant and tribally diverse online courses focused on business ownership and personal finance. Courses feature case studies of Montana native women distributed through of University of Montana, Salish Kootenai College, Blackfoot Community College, and the W.E.L.L. .

The Missoula Small Business Development Center (Missoula SBDC) provides free one-on-one support through ten regional centers across the state. We focus on counseling and low-cost training in areas like financial analysis and business planning. We help you achieve your goals of growth, innovation, and success by teaching you strategic planning, loan packaging, and information on financial projection and market research.
