Through Rapid Training Programs, Accelerate Montana works with partners statewide to support, fund, and develop trainings to Support Montana's workforce.
Our team of outreach coordinators has been meeting with recruiters, college partners, and job seekers to assess the wants and needs of communities across our state. The consensus, regardless of industry or entry point, is a desire for training opportunities that offer quick, flexible, online and in-person instruction that will give participants the relevant training employers are asking for.
As we work with our partners at 2-year and tribal colleges all over Montana to create and deliver the courses the market is asking for, we will be updating you to let you know what Rapid Training Courses are available, and what exciting opportunities are well on their way.

2. Film and Media – With the revival of the western and its modern interpretations, Montana’s Film Industry is booming. Leading programs with star-studded casts, like “Yellowstone”, “1883”, and the newest prequel “1923”, have gripped viewers internationally as they utilize Montana landscapes and businesses to produce widely lauded television. In addition to high-profile films and productions in the state, indie and documentary projects have brought bursts of media work through Montana towns and counties. The film production industry is like no other, and Montanans who seek work in this eminent industry will require specialized skills and training. Lynn-Wood Fields, an Executive Producer and the owner of Media Training Center, is aware of this need and aims to provide locals interested in such work with training opportunities that make them competitive candidates for the state’s growing pool of film and media industry positions.
With support from Accelerate Montana, Media Training Center has built an online course to train learners as Production Assistants. You can gain expertise and be ready to go on set from the comfort of your own home.
This course has open enrollment, is affordable, and connects you with Lynn-Wood Fields, the Media Training Center and Montana's film community.
