The course equips students with the medical knowledge, practical skills, and critical thinking abilities of confident and compassionate EMTs. An inquiry-based learning environment drives students of all ages and experience levels to ask questions and explore topics through hands-on, active learning. After completing 8 weeks of online learning, students attend 5 days of in-person training and testing in Missoula, Montana.

EMTs work on ambulances, fire departments, wildland fire crews, in hospital emergency rooms, in national parks, and many other places! EMTs may continue studying medicine to become a paramedic, nurse, doctor, etc.

Credentials Earned: National Registry (NREMT) certification is earned upon completion of the course after taking the NREMT cognitive exam.
