To our incredible community of women entrepreneurs in Montana, we want to share an important update about the future of the Rocky Mountain Women’s Business Center. For the past several years, our work has been made possible through federal funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). This support has allowed us to offer free and low-cost coaching, events, and resources to help women-owned businesses start and grow across the state.
Our current SBA grant will expire at the end of this month. Our host organization, Accelerate Montana, has made the difficult decision not to reapply for this funding. However, Accelerate Montana is still committed to supporting our state's entrepreneurs.
What’s Next
While we are stepping away from SBA funding, this is not the end of our journey. Accelerate Montana and our amazing business advisor, Marguerite Thordarson, are actively working on a plan to continue offering services to women entrepreneurs. For now, Marguerite will continue to offer 1-on-1 coaching to support your business needs, and our monthly digital coffee chats will continue on the 2nd Friday of each month, but other learning events, workshops, and expert hours will be on hold for the time being.
We’re looking forward to finding sustainable ways to keep serving you through events, networking, and additional resources, and we’ll share updates as soon as we have more information.
Reach out to Marguerite directly to schedule one-on-one coaching sessions to help navigate your business challenges and opportunities.
Thank You for Your Support
We are deeply grateful for your engagement with our program. Your commitment to building and growing small businesses in Montana is inspiring. You are the backbone of your communities, and the work you do matters economically, socially, and culturally. Thank you for showing up, taking risks, and supporting one another.
A Personal Note from Kassi
As for me, I’ll be transitioning out of my role as Program Director at RMWBC and diving back into my marketing and business strategy agency. I’m excited to return to this work and continue supporting entrepreneurs in new ways. I look forward to staying connected with many of you and cheering you on as you grow your businesses.

Thank you for allowing me to learn from you and be inspired by you over the past two years. Running RMWBC has been an extremely influential part of my journey, and I’m thankful to have met so many powerful, passionate, wonderful women business owners in Montana.
If you have any questions about this transition or how to continue meeting with Marguerite, feel free to send her an email – marguerite.thordarson@acceleratemt.com
With gratitude,
Kassi Strong
